Tea Garden is a restaurant chain that has multiple outlets in Malaysia, Indonesia and one outlet in Australia. They have all sorts of local oriental dishes available in their menu, making it a suitable place if you’re looking for a place to satisfy your hungry stomach at affordable price. The portion of the foods are also quite big, more than enough sometimes for us.

Wild Sheep Chase @ Taman Desa, KL

Located one floor above Taste & Memories, Wild Sheep Chase is a cozy cafe that serves dessert, light foods and drinks. The interior design of this place is quite simple with white colour as their main theme but almost every corner of the cafe is very instagrammable. It is “guarantee” that every photo you take will be a nice photo.

In Malaysia, a bowl of noodle soup or dry noodle for breakfast is one of our way to start our day in the morning especially among the elders. However, hawker stalls that sell noodles are scarce in the morning are scarce and the options are little. On our first morning in Langkawi, we drove by this restaurant and decided to give it a try.

K Cafe @ Bandar Sg Long, Kajang

Cafe that only has one item on their menu is quite unimaginable right? Well, K cafe brings the unimaginable into a reality. K cafe only has one or two foods on the menu which is randomly selected by the cafe owners everyday. Though, variety of drinks and coffee can be ordered from the drinks menu. It was peculiar how we discover this cafe since they don’t have any large signboard that say “K Cafe” like others do. One day, as we’re wandering around the area looking for a place for lunch, we spotted a fluffy dog going up a staircase. Being a dog lover, we became ‘dog stalkers’ and followed the dog into this cafe.

S.O.C Cafe @ Taman Desa Setapak, Wangsa Maju

While searching for cheap food to eat, we came across this cafe which located in Wangsa Maju. I couldn’t remember how many round I had turned to search for a parking space around S.O.C Cafe, all I could recall was it took me 20 minutes to find a parking.

Hoe Kee Chicken Rice 和记鸡饭 @ Jonker Street, Malacca

When we talk about Malacca, first thing that comes to our mind will be Hainanese Chicken Rice which often served in rice ball and white steamed chicken. There are just too many Hainanese Chicken Rice restaurant in Malacca, especially in Jonker Street. While the famous Chung Wah Chicken Rice has ended their business, more and more chicken rice restaurant sprouted out in Jonker Street. Out of so many options, we decided to choose this restaurant as Sheepie has good impression during her previous visit.

Donald & Lily @ Malacca

Donald & Lily has been well known for nyonya food and they are one of the pioneer of nyonya food in Malacca. From other reviews online, many mentions that seats are very limited during peak hours and thus, we decided to head there early to have a nyonya-style breakfast.
