Gather is sort of a bar restaurant located opposite of RHB bank on the first level in Damansara Uptown. The menu includes both asian and western cuisine and good selections of wines and alcoholic drinks. Booked through Eatigo, we got 50% discount from the food menu. It was very lucky for us since we received free voucher for four persons to enjoy dinner buffet in Mandarin Oriental Hotel. After parking our car in KLCC carpark, we walked towards Mandarin Oriental Hotel located on right beside KLCC.
While searching for cheap food to eat, we came across this cafe which located in Wangsa Maju. I couldn’t remember how many round I had turned to search for a parking space around S.O.C Cafe, all I could recall was it took me 20 minutes to find a parking.

In the past week, we had a meetup with friends at DESK which is short for Drink Eat Share Kitchen. The ambiance of the restaurant is really good and suitable for these types of gathering. The restaurant serves both Asian and Western Cuisine, but the price is a little high. You could find the menu in below.
For us, we ordered a Carbonara Pasta, Homemade Luncheon Meat Fried Rice and Homemade Mushroom Soup. Mushroom soup was quite delicious but the taste of black pepper is quite heavy. Luckily, we both are a fan of black pepper. Carbonara pasta is decent where the sauce is creamy enough but the bacon strip is slightly dry. Maybe we expected too much for that price point.
The luncheon fried rice on other hand tasted average. Although the portion of luncheon meat were quite generous, the fried rice is not fragrant enough. There are still room for improvement for this dish.
Our friends had a Chicken Maryland and Teriyaki Chicken Rice (RM10.00). Our friends commented that the Chicken Maryland was not bad, just that it is a little dry.
The dinner costed us RM76.50 for 5 persons with only one drink ordered.

Located right beside UTAR Sungai Long, Blackboard cafe offers a good selection of food from Asian Cuisine to fusion of Asian and Western Cuisine. The cafe was recommended by one of our friends who are a fan of their carbonara spaghetti. Being a fan of carbonara spaghetti ourselves, we decided have a taste of the food.
Morganfield’s has always been renowned for their slab of pork ribs. We went to the place at 3.30 pm for a late lunch and we were quite surprised that the lunch time promotion was extended to 4.00 pm. Without hesitation, we quickly ordered our food as we were very very hungry that time. Oh, since there were six of us and we ordered six set of meal, we got one more set of meal free of charge!
Spag & Jus opened their first outlet in Sunway Pyramid few years ago and it has now finally opened another outlet in Sunway Velocity. This restaurant is located at level B1 where many other affordable foods can be found. As the space is quite limited, dining tables and chairs are arranged closely together to the extent that you may overheard your neighbour’s conversation. So this may not be the best choice if you’re looking for a romantic date night. Hahaha!

During our visit to Penang last year December, we stayed in Mansion One which comes with breakfast. We can choose to have our breakfast either in Hardwicke House a la carte or a buffet breakfast over at Vouk Hotel which is just a few walks away. Since we were staying for two days, we decided to have our breakfast at Hardwicke House on the first morning.
