Hidden in a office building Wisma Miramas in Taman Desa, we wouldn’t know there is a ramen restaurant if we haven’t downloaded Eatigo. We received a 30% discount for making a reservation using the app and you can too! Just use “vivioerd” as your reference code to receive additional rewards when you register.
If you’re a fan of ramen, this place is definitely is must-visit. They make their own tonkotsu ramen broth that is very delicious and fragrant. In fact, we did not feel thirsty after the dinner, probably due to sweet and not salty broth.
A hidden gem tucked away in a fisherman village near Beras Terbakar, Shin Mi serves delicious seafood at a reasonable price. To get to this restaurant, you will have to drive off the main road just a little bit since its located in a village. The restaurant owner welcomed us even though they were closing their kitchen in 10 minutes.
Driving around Kuah in search for seafood in the evening, we found a crowded restaurant that has some pictures of prawns on their shop sign. In hope of delicious seafood since there were so many people having dinner here, we quickly find a table and sat down waiting for order.
Located in the town of Kuah, Wan Thai is a restaurant that is quite famous among the tourists. Often, you will see a lot of tourists come here on a tour bus. This is a restaurant that has a fusion style between Thai Cuisine and Malay Cuisine, not to mention that since we’re on Langkawi Island, seafood will be the main spotlight. Welcoming drinks were served when we sat down around the dining table. It was plain water infused with pandan fragrance.
Right until recently, Sheepie and I both noticed that we haven’t been to a Korean BBQ Restaurant together even though we have been together for almost three years and counting! Therefore, to tick that off our “Things Couples Should Do List”, we decided to visit BBQ Ma Eul Cup Bab that is quite well known in Damansara Uptown. This restaurant is famous for their korean BBQ with unlimited water and side dishes refill.
In the past week, we had a meetup with friends at DESK which is short for Drink Eat Share Kitchen. The ambiance of the restaurant is really good and suitable for these types of gathering. The restaurant serves both Asian and Western Cuisine, but the price is a little high. You could find the menu in below.
For us, we ordered a Carbonara Pasta, Homemade Luncheon Meat Fried Rice and Homemade Mushroom Soup. Mushroom soup was quite delicious but the taste of black pepper is quite heavy. Luckily, we both are a fan of black pepper. Carbonara pasta is decent where the sauce is creamy enough but the bacon strip is slightly dry. Maybe we expected too much for that price point.
The luncheon fried rice on other hand tasted average. Although the portion of luncheon meat were quite generous, the fried rice is not fragrant enough. There are still room for improvement for this dish.
Our friends had a Chicken Maryland and Teriyaki Chicken Rice (RM10.00). Our friends commented that the Chicken Maryland was not bad, just that it is a little dry.
The dinner costed us RM76.50 for 5 persons with only one drink ordered.
Although the restaurant name gives the impression of a coffee cafe and not much heavy food, in fact their menu is very long serving almost all kinds of food including rice, pasta, udon and desserts. If you’re here to spend time bonding with friends over a cup of coffee, they also serve some finger foods to satisfy your stomach. By using Eatigo to reserve a table prior going to the place, we got a 50% discount off from the food. Remember to use “vivioerd” code during your registration to get a RM10 cash rewards.
Decorated with lush greenery at the entrance to the cafe, this place can be easily spotted just right around the corner of Jonker Street. Though at first sight, this place seems to experts in brewing coffee, a friend of us recommended us to try their Salted Egg Lava Toast, which is why we decided to check out this place. They have a wide range of food and drinks including coffee of course, bingsu, toast, all day breakfast and pasta (11.30am onwards).
Moments 02, as its name suggested, is the second outlet opened by the team that manage Moments 01 in Wangsa Maju. Reservation for Moments 02 through Eatigo is also available so you can enjoy discount up to 50% if you booked at the correct hours.
Good Japanese cuisine is not easy to find in Taiping and Shunka is one of them. They also have several of their branches outlet in Penang and Selangor. One of their signature dish is the Japanese Cheese Omelette which has a generous portion of cheese wrapped inside thin layers of egg.
